Springsteen, Bruce. "I'm On Fire" Live

the Boss gives delivers a live version of what I consider the best track from Born In the U.S.A. Some things to look out for...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJQgwqojirs

0:36 - Bruce replaces the studio version’s synth intro with a heartfelt monologue about his father.

1:49 - Bruce takes on an intimidating power stance.

1:59 - The most sexually charged, anticlimactic stage move I’ve ever loved.

2:00 - I’m On Fire actually begins.

3:01 - The stage lighting that emulates the figurative “fire” that Bruce is “on.”

3:30 - Still not sure if he says “soul” or “skull,” either way that is pretty fucking intense.

4:13 - Woodblock makes an appearance .

4:25 - We hear/understand why the woodblock had to be added.

4:53 - Bruce transcends sexual orientation and the entire audience is inevitably aroused.

4:54 - 5:40 - The Boss gives us a lesson in tasteful restraint.
